For all you Sandy Cove people!

This past weekend....

Time has been flying by here...it feels like we just got here yesterday and it will be two weeks tomorrow! So much has been happening its hard to keep up on everything, we have been meeting and fellowshipping with new people almost every day since we arrived...so I will try to condense the events of this weekend...

Sunday we left for Siegen, which is about 1 1/2 hours away from Münster. We attended the second service at CC Siegen and afterwards got to see some old friends from Bible College, which was really nice! Afterward we went for a walk down memory lane, visited the Villa and ate lunch at the best Döner shop in all of Germany. Döner is kind of hard to explain...but basically its a kebab sandwich from Turkey that is amazing! Afterward we went to Nada's sister's house, which is where we were all going to be staying.

After meeting Nada's family, Marcus (Nada's brother-in-law) took us on a walk through the forest. It was beautiful and the mountain air was so refreshing! He told us about all the different kinds of things that grow in the forest there, one of which is wild mushrooms. And so began our mushroom hunt! We gathered a bunch of mushrooms and when we got home Marcus cooked them and we ate them with dinner! It was a true old country thing...I felt very European in that moment, thinking of all the stories I have heard from my grandparents of such things.

Monday morning Nada and I drove to Herborn to attend the very first CC Pastor's Wife conference held in Germany. It was a sweet day, lots of prayer, worship and fellowship! I was able to meet Pastor Wives from all over Germany, some who have been here for 10+ years and others who have only been here for a few years. It was really cool hearing all their stories and how God called them to Germany and to start a church. The event was so nice and I felt so blessed to be part of it! The theme verse was "With God all things are possible..." Matthew 19:26

Before we left Siegen Nada's family prepared an awesome brunch for us...they were so hospitable! Very sweet people!

Tonight we had Bible study....there were about 15 people this week...the apartment was pleasantly packed! Please pray for the Wednesday night study and also that the Lord would provide a place for us to meet on Sundays.

Thank you all for your prayers...the Lord is answering and providing in so many amazing ways! May the Lord bless you all and keep you and make His face shine upon you!

Shalom

Our First Bible Study...

We officially attended our first CC Münster Bible study the other night. Everyone meets in Chris and Nada's around 7:30ish on Wednesdays. This week was the first bi-lingual Bible study. Up until this point its all been in German but since there are now English speakers as well...it needs to be both. Paul led worship in both English and German (...he did a good job!) And Chris is teaching through the book of Romans with Nada translating for him. They just finished chapter five last night. Please continue to pray for the people attending on Wednesday nights and that would bring more people to hear His word and be encouraged!

Here's a few pics from the other night....

Pictures....

Paul and I went into the city today to meet up with our friend Valeska and our new friend Stella! We had a great time catching up and walking around Münster...here are some pictures we took!

Some cool homes in downtown Muenster

Below: The Three Cages...this is where they would sentence people to death, so they would hang in there until they died and then the birds would eat their flesh...really crazy!!!

Left: inside the Dome church.

Right: Muenster is one of  the most bike friendly cities in Germany...this is a picture of the train station "parking lot". Seriously thousands of bikes!

Welp...thats it for now!

Let the journey begin!

So we are here in Germany...its so crazy that all one has to do is jump on a plane and then 6 hours later you are in a different country, speaking a different language. I always love that about traveling!

We arrived the morning of the 16th with no real delays, Chris was so kind to drive down and pick us up at the airport (which by the way was a six hour drive for him round trip). We are staying with Chris and Nada and their two adorable kids Simeon and Levi until we find a apartment of our own. They have been so kind to us...and are so greatful for their friendship. We got to spend a little time in the city on Friday...which I think we are going to love living in Muenster, its such a beautiful city! I didnt have my camera on me but we will go again soon and will post up some pics.

Sunday we attended a free evangelical church where Chris and Nada have been going. It was a great day, we met a lot of neat people. In the afternoon we went over to a family's house for lunch. And let me tell you...it was an awesome lunch! They were very hospitable and we had fun trying to communicate, since they didnt speak very much English and we dont speak very much German but luckly Chris and Nada are good translators...so it worked out!

Last night we had our first official "Calvary Chapel Münster" meeting. It was sweet...Chris casted the vision and shared his heart with us and then we had a time of prayer. We are so excited about what the Lord is going to do here in this city! We know that He desires to see the peoples lives changed, hearts awakened and true fellowship in Christ to happen. Already we both have experienced the Lord provision, blessing and peace in so many ways!

Well thats all for now, will write more later. Thank you all for all your prayers and support...the Lord is answering!!!
